From the Knockdhu distillery in the Scottish Highlands (renamed to avoid confusion with Knockando), anCnoc translates to ‘up the hill’ in Gaelic. Made using traditional production methods, this whisky is an expression not often seen on these shores, and is made without colouring or chill filtering.
Nose
Christmas cake with a splash of lemon juice and vanilla custard
Palate
Rich and citrus forward, think oodles of lemon peel and marmalade with creamy vanilla toffee and honeyed barley
Finish
Old leather and tannic oak rounding it out with a hint of orange peel
