Donnafugata Six Pack
Donnafugata Six Pack
Welcome to the world of Donnafugata - the 'Woman in Flight'.
Steeped in history, this iconic vineyard was ranked in the World's Top 50 in 2022 and is enveloped in art, literature, history, music and rich winemaking traditions.
Beginning in the 19th Century Italy, Queen Maria Carolina of Naples and Sicily fled the French and Napoleonic revolutions to the vineyards of Donnafugata. The famous novel 'The Leopard' was born of this era and when Giacomo and Gabriella Rallo took over the family vineyards in 1983, Gabriella found great inspiration from its history, naming it not only after the Queen but also herself, having fled from teaching to become the first female winemaker in Sicily.
Enjoy this selection, each bottle a work of art, hand-drawn by artist Stefano Vitale to capture the personalities the wine:
Brut Rose
100% Pinot Nero with refined notes of wild strawberry and bread crust.
Sur Sur Grillo
Named after the chirping of crickets (sur-sur), it's crisp and floral with notes of white peach and grapefruit - pure sunshine in a glass.
Sherazade Nero d'Avola
Inspired by 1001 Nights, this red is smooth and spicy with intense notes of black cherry, plum and a hint of black pepper. Incredibly easy to drink and very food-friendly.
Tancredi
A tribute to the hero of 'The Leopard'; a bold, velvety blend of Cabernet and Nero d'Avola with deep cocoa, dark berries and liquorice notes.
Ben Rye
Their world-famous dessert wine is glowing amber in colour, exploding with apricot, candied orange peel, honey and figs. Despite its sweetness, it has a brilliant acidity that keeps it fresh and never cloying.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Pressed from 100-year-old trees with scents of green tomato, artichoke and freshly cut grass. Harmonious balance between bitter and spicy with a clean, peppery finish.
