Escarpment Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2024
- Region: Wairarapa
- Sub-Region: Martinborough
- Varieties: Sauvignon Blanc
Vineyard The debut release of Sauvignon Blanc from Escarpment — previously known purely for Pinot Noir. Grown on the alluvial gravels of the Martinborough Terrace, mostly handled in stainless steel with 20% fermented in French oak puncheons (10% new). A distinctly restrained, textural North Island style rather than Marlborough's aromatic intensity.
Wine Bright, light lemon-green, full-bodied with vigorous, ripe tropical fruit, gentle herbal notes, and a limey acid line that gives drive and intensity. Fresh and dry, with very good weight, concentration, and complexity for a debut vintage.

- Goat's cheese
