Corvina 60%, Merlot 25%, Cabernet Sauvignon 15%
Italy, Veneto
Founded in 1912, Francesco Fabiano and his son Sergio began to sell their wines in Venice, expanded and moved to Verona in the 1950's and by the 1970's became one of the largest wine producers in Italy. The commercial growth of the 1980's and 1990's saw Fabiano exported to all the main countries of the world, making it one of the main wineries of the Verona and national oenology.
Vajo del Centenario was conceived in 2002 to celebrate the company's 90th anniversary. In 2012, that became 100 years of history, and they continue this 'century old' label when vintage allows. Only 6000 bottles are produced, combining the big structure of the withered Corvina with Cabernet Sauvignon.
Intense, almost impenetrable colour and lively tonality are signs of a wine worthy of respect. Captivating bouquet of ripened fruit and delicately spiced wood. Fine and lasting tannins, warm and savoury.
