Felton Road Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2024

We are very lucky to be one of a handful of retailers across New Zealand who are hand-selected to offer the fantastic Felton Road wines, likewise we are the only retailer in Manawatu / Whanganui with this privilege. Felton Road are widely regarded as the premier Pinot and Chardonnay producer out of Bannockburn (and could be argued to be the very best producer in Central Otago and best Pinot producer in Aotearoa). In fact, Felton Road has garnered the top spot in The Real Review’s top 100 producers in both 2024 and 2025, recognising overall quality and consistency.

While the reviews of the 2024s are not yet out, winemaker Blair Walters describes the wines as extremely similar to the fantastic 2023’s… “As to the first of the 2024’s we are releasing? What more can we say than 2023 and 2024 are very similar vintages, in fact, the most similar back to back vintages we have seen in a very long time.  Not clones of each other, but stylistic siblings.”

“A potpourri of dark petals and Indian spices dominate the inviting bouquet. Dark and deep fruit on the palate is amply supported by complexing savoury and earthy notes. It’s not just fruit, there’s so much more contributing.This is our diverse four vineyards coming together to superbly express the classic character of Bannockburn: black cherry fruit notes and silky, chocolate laden tannins.”
