Henri Bourgeois Sancerre Blanc Terroirs 2024
- Region: Loire Valley, France
- Sub-Region: Sancerre (hills between Chavignol and Sancerre)
- Varieties: Sauvignon Blanc
Vineyard From the Bourgeois family's historic domaine in Chavignol, now in its tenth generation, with vines grown on flinty clay and limestone terroir. Yields are deliberately kept low through high-density planting and interrow grassing. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel, then matured on fine lees for 5–6 months before bottling.
Wine A precise, dynamic Sancerre balancing crisp Sauvignon Blanc acidity with the elegance typical of the appellation. An expressive nose of citrus fruit and pineapple leads into a round, brilliant palate with hints of eucalyptus and a fresh, mineral finish.
Food Pairings
- Fresh goat's cheese (classic Sancerre pairing)
- Grilled fish
- Summer melon salad
Accolades (2024)
