David Langmeil Orphan Bank is a favourite of mine, it ages well in the cellar and rewards with patience. Orphan Bank has an interesting history of old shiraz vines being saved and replanted for people to still enjoy. It has a smooth chocolate berry finish on the palate with a kiss of oak. One glass is never enough. The 2016 is drinking beautifully now and I'm sure when I open the 2022 it will also. Langmeil is a great winery, Freedom and Pure Eden are also ones to buy and stick away, both from old vine shiraz plantings, some of the oldest in the Barossa.
