Vineyard From Palliser Estate, one of Martinborough's flagship producers, with six vineyards on the Martinborough Terrace and first grapes harvested in 1989. The terrace is free-draining gravel framed by the Ruamahanga and Huangarua Rivers. This wine won the Champion Sauvignon Blanc trophy at the 2000 Air New Zealand Wine Awards. It is a Martinborough take on the variety, more restrained and textural than the punchier Marlborough style.

Wine Pale lemon, with a pure nose of guava, kiwifruit, apple, snow pea and passionfruit, lifted by orange blossom and a touch of garam masala. The palate is fresh and focused, with lime zest cutting through generous fruit. It has a textural mid-palate and a long, dry finish carrying basil and Mediterranean herbs.
