Vineyard The reserve-tier white Bordeaux-style blend from Pegasus Bay, founded in 1986 by Ivan and Christine Donaldson, with Ivan having planted one of Canterbury's first vineyards in 1976. The vines sit on free-draining, north-facing terraces sheltered by the Teviotdale Range. Both varieties were picked in stages and fermented separately, the Sauvignon in stainless steel and the Semillon in oak puncheons. Each spent about 10 months on lees before blending, then a further 18 months in bottle before release.

Wine Lemon-straw in colour. The bouquet shows mango, grapefruit, salted pineapple and citrus blossom, with hints of roast cashew, cardamom and dried basil, all around a steely mineral core.
