Vineyard From Te Whare Ra, a small, organically-farmed vineyard and winery in Renwick owned by Anna and Jason Flowerday, with 11 hectares planted in 1979 on predominantly loam-over-clay soils. In 2025, The Real Review ranked TWR the #3 winery in New Zealand and #1 in Marlborough. Around 80% Awatere Valley, 20% Wairau Valley fruit, with a portion fermented in old barrels to build texture.

Wine Sweet tropical fruit — guava and mango — meets subtle green herbs and silvery elderflower notes characteristic of the Awatere Valley. Juicy and round, with curved edges and real textural interest from the barrel-ferment portion — a classic yet cleverly composed Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
