Vineyard From Tolpuddle's own 50-acre vineyard in the Coal River Valley, gently sloping and north-east facing with light silica over sandstone, reflecting Tasmania's cool maritime climate. Grapes are hand-picked and fermented as a mix of whole berries and whole bunches in open fermenters with gentle plunging, then aged nine months in French oak (about a third new).
Wine Deeply perfumed and floral, with wild blackberries, mulberry bush, violets, and wet bark. The palate is finely tuned with seamless tannins, bright acidity, and a creamy texture, showing dark cherries, graphite, boysenberries, spice, and rose petals — high-tension with a savoury edge.
