Zenkuro Original Junmai Sake 375ml

If you already love Sake or have never tried the stuff we can’t help but recommend one of our new producers: Zenkuro Sake. Made in Queenstown by Dave and Yasuko Joll, ZEN - KURO means completely (or all) black and since their inception have become the first and only Sake brewery in New Zealand and one that is now internationally recognised as one of the best non-Japanese Sake breweries in the world.

Junmai means ‘pure rice’ and is a more delicate sake using only rice, water, yeast and koji. Zenkuro describe this sake as a smooth, semi-dry, light-medium bodied and versatile sake with a gentle herbaceous nose which should be served chilled and is best enjoyed with sushi, sashimi and other raw bar items.
