Made in Queenstown by Dave and Yasuko Joll, ZEN - KURO means completely (or all) black and since their inception have become the first and only Sake brewery in New Zealand and one that is now internationally recognised as one of the best non-Japanese Sake breweries in the world.

Junmai style Ginjo style - made with only polished rice, water, yeast and koji. Dry with medium body, balanced umami and gentle stone fruit aromas, this is definitely a sake to sit down with at the dinner table. The umami flavour components are a great match for the protein elements on your plate.  It can be served chilled or warmed and is an ideal accompaniment to richer Japanese and umami rich foods.
